Montana Journalist of the Year deadline set

Montana+Journalist+of+the+Year+deadline+set

The University of Montana’s High School Journalism Day is set for April 14 in Missoula. The Journalism School said that packets of information will be in the mail in the next week. That packet will include descriptions of the various contest categories and details about J-Day.

The Montana High School Journalist of the Year deadline is earlier than the deadline for the other contests. DEADLINE: February 22

By that date, e-mail your information/link about how to access your student’s portfolio to:

Larry Abramson, Dean of the School of Journalism

                        [email protected]

LINKS:

  1. JOY student info sheet
  2. JOY Information
  3. MJEA membership form. There is one fee this year – no separate fees for the various contest categories. You can send that form and payment to me OR you can send it to UM with your contest entries.

The winner of the Montana contest will represent the state in the national JEA contest for Journalist of the Year. The deadline to submit information for that national contest is March 15, so the Montana Journalist of the Year (who will be notified by about March 3) will have little time to get the national application ready.
