Teachers and students from around Montana attended a Montana PBS workshop Oct. 18-19 in Bozeman.

Six students from C. M. Russell High School in Great Falls joined a handful of teachers from southwest Montana at a Montana PBS workshop Oct. 18-19 in Bozeman. The students and teachers enjoyed a two-day hands-on workshop aimed at increasing their knowledge of filming video for use in high school journalism programs. Elis Estrada and Victor Fernandez traveled to Bozeman to help lead the workshop, which was spearheaded by Chris Seifert on the Bozeman campus of MSU. Students and teachers discussed ethics, interviewing, audio and camera function. They were broken into small teams and sent across the campus to film B-roll and interviews, returning to the computer lab to edit a 2-minute piece.
