The deadline to submit entries for the Montana High School Journalist of the Year is Feb. 13. It is a process that requires some time, so advisers and students are encouraged to begin assembling the parts of the application as soon as possible.

  2. State application. LINK to application: 2017 JOY APPLICATION
  3. Student’s transcript

  7. Online portfolio of student’s work — follow guidelines that JEA has put in place for the national Journalist of the Year — because the winner of Montana JOY will represent Montana at the national level. LINK to guidelines: Online portfolio
