Corvallis High School’s Michael McKay JOY runner-up for 2018-2019

Michael McKay directs Corvallis High School’s live stream of the morning news.

Michael McKay, who directs the live stream of the morning news at Corvallis High School, was named the runner-up in the 2018-2019 Montana High School Journalist of the Year competition.
McKay said he embarked on a journey to fundamentally transform the broadcast capabilities of his
rural high school — researching, pitching, and implementing a live broadcast
system (BMD ATEM HD Television Studio) at Corvallis High School.  He also is the founding director of that program, entitled “C” Vision, which is now
watched daily by 500 students, teachers, and staff at Corvallis High School.
