MEA offers chance to connect

It was really nice getting to Helena for the day last week. The MEA annual workshops always offer something I am looking for, and I was happy to meet some journalism advisers from towns including Sidney, Fort Benton, Froid and Billings. Perhaps next year MJEA will play a larger role. We did offer six journalism-related classes this year, and my thanks go out to Linda Ballew of Great Falls for making the trek to Helena and teaching four of those classes. I appreciate her enthusiasm and willingness to teach — especially classes for beginning advisers. Linda is a mentor through the Journalism Education Association, and I encourage new advisers to contact her if they are interested in having her visit you and your students. Contact me at [email protected] if you would like her contact information.
